As a young, inexperienced high school graduate, I never imagined that I would one day be a security guard.

I had always dreamed of becoming a software engineer.

But life has a funny way of throwing curveballs at us when we least expect it.

When I was 21 years old and fresh out of high school, the only thing that seemed inevitable in my life was going out to have fun with friends.

Little did I know that fate had other plans for me.

One day, while I was bored and browsing job postings, I discovered that the only available unskilled fresher job at the time was as a security guard at a local firm.

At first, I was hesitant to apply because I thought it wouldn’t be challenging enough.

However, my mother persuaded me to give it a shot.

So, I applied and got the job.

During my time as a security guard, I realized my true passion for computer programming.

For the next year, I worked as a security guard while also taking night classes to learn about software engineering.

It wasn’t the most glamorous job in the world, but it was honest work and it taught me important skills such as communication and computer abilities.

But most importantly, it taught me the importance of perseverance and determination.

I realized that to achieve my dream of becoming a computer programmer, I would need to put in the hard work and never give up.

And so, after a year of working as a security guard, I decided to take the plunge and enroll in a software engineering course.

It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but I’m glad I did it.

Today, I am a Fullstack Engineer working from anywhere I want, whenever I want.

And best of all, I’m able to use my experience as a security guard to help non-technical founders get to where they want to go.

My experience is a testament to the power of will and perseverance.

Anyone can accomplish anything if they put their minds to it.

So for you, as a non-technical founder, never give up on your goals, no matter how improbable they appear.

Because you have no idea where life may take you.

I hope my story inspires you to never give up on your dreams.

Who knows?

Maybe one day you’ll be telling your own success story to someone who needs a little inspiration.

If you are a non-technical founder, use this blog and message me if you need any help.
